Liquid Lip Paints Reviewed

So what is a lip paint?

It’s a kind of lipstick, lip stain in liquid form.

Not matte, not gloss more suede in texture, if that makes any sense at all!

Maybelline Color drama lip paint

I spotted these tiny treats on yet another Superdrug splurge. They come in at £4.99 which isn’t too much of a bank breaker.

(SO MUCH alliteration right there! ⬆️⬆️)

Now, I know it’s the same product in two different shades, BUT they are different. I swear!

The light pink colour in shade “Never Bare” is easy to apply, it glides on and has super a soft feeling about it.

It’s not really a colour I’d go for BUT I actually loved it.

A nice cute light pink colour, perfect for every day wear.

Next up is the second Maybelline lip paint in shade “Vamped Up“.

Now I don’t know how or why, but this felt completely different, almost like a cross between a lipgloss and a lipstick.

As you can see in the picture below it’s got a slightly  glossy finish which is completely different to the shade above.

Weird right?!

Also it seems to be somewhat lacking in the pigment department, meaning that you need to layer it on a bit, but once you do it gives a fairly juicy purple colour 👄

Too Faced Melted Liquified Longwear Lipstick

Cor blimey, rolls right off the tongue 👅 that one doesn’t it 🙈🙄🤣

Out of the two (or three if you take into account the weird difference between the two Maybellines) I’d say this has my favourite formula. Its super highly pigmented meaning the colour payoff is powerful, as you can see below!

This shade is  “Fuschia” and it’s a little more vibrant than I’d choose usually but again, I actually loved it.

It makes me think of Summer 🌞

Ahhh remember Summer?

All in all, I think that these lip paints are perfect for day wear. They’re not quite as striking as most lipsticks, yet they say a lot more than a lip gloss. Great for popping in your bag if you’re out on shopping trip as they are easy to apply on the go.

Let me know if you’ve tried any of these or if you have any you’d recommend!  ❤
