Oh, I can’t tell you how much I wish I knew about foundation coverage in high school.
I thought you just whacked on layer after layer of any old product in the hope that eventually all the evil blemishes were covered up.
How wrong I was.
Okay so if you have a really good skin, or are you just feeling really confident, or you just like light foundation.
Then a light coverage is for you.
Light coverage foundation is basically the 🎶”I woke up like this”🎶 version of foundation.
It’s going to even your skintone and that is it. It’s probably not going to take care of any blemishes, and it may not take care of any dark circles.
If you have either of these then you’re going to need to go in and do a little bit of concealing, which if you have the time or patience is not a problem.
Sometimes however, you don’t have time, you definitely don’t have the patience and you just want something to cover the blemishes and dark circles straightaway and so…
If you want something that is going to cover any minor blemishes and discolouration then this is probably for you. You’ll have to do less faffing with concealer, unless you’be been on a massive Christmas/New Year’s booze fest, then those dark circles still may need a little TLC.
SIDE NOTE 📝
If you have done this try a litre of water before bed, put two spoons in the freezer, and when you wake repeat the water and get the spoons out and whack them under your eyes 👀 to bring down the “prosecco puffs”. Then you’re going to want to drown your face in moisturiser whack your hair in a bun or ponytail and go easy on the make up. 🎄 Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 🎄
Full coverage is for the night before the morning after. When you want that HD, flawless, airbrushed face. The one that’s like, HELLO, I’m here and I mean business pass me the prosecco 🥂 and let’s PARTY 🎉
For me personally I steer clear of full coverage in the day time because it can look a bit, full on and also I like to give the old skin a bit of breathing time.
But that’s just me, if that’s your thing, then go get it gurl! 💁
Whatever coverage you do choose, just remember that you may not need it all over your skin, and that your foundation shouldn’t be a mask. You’re all stunners, so give your skin a chance to shine. 👌
